DAS Audio systems at the SESC Cultural Center in Rio de Janeiro: showing commitment to culture and education

SESC Reference Centers are spaces for research, experimentation, knowledge exchange and innovation, committed to the social, environmental, cultural and educational development of the country.

Built in 2008, this cultural and educational center decided to upgrade the former sound system of the theater, using DAS Audio system solutions to meet the new post-pandemic demands of the large 600-seat auditorium, where shows, lectures, and performances are offered to the community.

The SESC Cultural Center followed all the project directions given by DAS Audio’s application engineer, Fernando Nanão. Event-26A cabinets were selected for their physical characteristics (compact), high technology and performance. 16 Event-26A, 4 Event-115A and 2 Event-121A were supplied by the distributor Harmonia Musical together with local engineering support, the Lang Brothers were in charge of installation, and optimization (technical delivery) was carried out by the engineer, Fernando Nanão.

Today, the SESC Educational Center offers all the necessary structure for academic excellence in different segments: Liceo Sesc, teacher training for the Sesc Network and public schools, social and cultural engagement actions with the local communities, SESC School of Dramatic Art, free courses in sports and foreign languages, PTED – Distance Educational Tutoring Program and ENEM Revision. These programs and projects were created to serve a diverse public, both locally and nationally, promoting human development.
